From Hot Rod Network
The Mooneyes Show is more than a drag race and lifestyle event in SoCal, it's an international cultural juggernaut. No one show combines lowriders, hipsters, street rodders, artists, drag racers and regular car guys like Mooneyes. The December show is actually two shows that are a week apart. One in Irwindale, California, outside of Los Angeles and the other in Yokohama, Japan. The two places couldn't be more different, yet owner Shige Suganuma seems to have found common ground in cars.
We sent our own sushi-chewing, Saki-swilling freelance journalists to get the action on a good old fashioned Nikon, just like grandpa used to do in the early 2000s. So here we go, we read the Google translated Japanese so you don't have to.
