Lincoln Reportedly Killing the MKZ Black Label

Back in 2013, as Lincoln was working to mount its comeback, the American luxury brand introduced the Black Label program for the MKC and MKZ. With the new program, customers who bought top-of-the-line Black Label-trimmed vehicles didn't just get a more luxurious Lincoln. They also gained access to a long list of perks such as at-home pickup and delivery when the car needed service, free maintenance and car washes, and even a complimentary dinner for two at a fine dining restaurant. Soon, though, the Black Label program may no longer be available on the MKZ.

CarsDirect reports that based on order guides that it saw, Lincoln plans to kill the MKZ Black Label for 2019. Instead, customers looking for an upgrade from the base MKZ will have the option to add either a Reserve I or Reserve II package. Lincoln's 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 will reportedly only be available with the top-level Reserve II package, with the front-drive version costing $48,740 and all-wheel drive adding another $3,000.

Lincoln will also reportedly make Co-Pilot360, Lincoln's suite of active driver aids and safety features, standard on the 2019 MKZ. Co-Pilot360 bundles automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control with a few other features in a single package. The good news is, that will supposedly only raise the base price a few hundred dollars, bringing it to $36,990.
